COMMENT:

Greenwich Time Reporter Frank MacEachern Did Not Have The Journalistic Balls To Publish The Date Time And Contents Of An Internal Greenwich School District Email That Was Obtained By Ellen Taylor Saying That The Schools Would Not Show The Speech Live.

But Citizen Journalists Like Chris Fountain Were Brave Enough To Put The Flip Floping Emails Up For All To See.

Why Is It That The Greenwich Mainstream Reporters Are Always Hiding Stuff From Their Readers, And The Citizen Journalists Of Greenwich Are Always Putting Everything Out For Their Readers To See And Judge For Themselves?

You Have To Read The Local Blogs If You Really Want To Know What's Going On In Greenwich.

U.S. Rep. Jim Himes only once felt things might get out of hand, when a demonstrator attempted to wrest the microphone away from a cancer patient......

Cities and towns foot the bill for Himes health-care forums - Greenwich Time

......In Greenwich, Republican First Selectman Peter Tesei said he was questioned by a member of the Representative Town Meeting, whom he would not identify, about the manpower used for Himes' forum at Town Hall Monday night.

"My response to it was, 'That's a decision that the police department makes,'" Tesei said. "In this case, I think there was enough exposure and attention and experience from other jurisdictions to know that it would be good to have a presence."

One plain-clothes detective assigned to the event said there were eight officers present.

Police Chief David Ridberg said all but one officer was on regular duty at the time. He estimated that the overtime costs for the one officer was $360.

"Every time a U.S. representative or senator comes into town, we're aware of it and we try to provide extra security," Ridberg said.

About 300 people turned out for Himes' appearance in his hometown of Greenwich, but only 200 were allowed into the meeting room because of the fire code.

Many of those who were shut out remained on the steps of Town Hall, where some held up signs protesting the public insurance option supported by Himes.

At the end of the 90-minute forum inside, Himes, escorted by a group of officers, addressed the crowd outside. Embedded among them were a few plain-clothes detectives......

Hey Susie,

I was in Greenwich Hardware last Thursday and saw Regis Philban buy a sledge hammer.

09/05/09 A Different Report About The Wilbur Peck Courthouse Mayheim Incident

ORDER IN THE COURT:

Wilbur Peck Courthouse Mayheim.

I am the cause of the courthouse mayheim, because they didn't drop my cousins Steven’s bail.

DEBRA FRIEDMAN LIED.

Chris did not cause a disturbance do to his brothers bail.

Anything concerning Daniel was excepted with no confusion in the court house.

I bottled up all the hurt I felt when my family and their friends were harrassed by the cops throughout the years, when Dan, Steven and Joe got arrested for no reason at the so-called riot(I was there).

I blew up in the courtroom by standing up and cursing while crying, and mumbling out how some Greenwich Police are liars and prejudice as I walked out the courtroom door, I pushed the door open, not catching it, it swung and hit the wall way to loud, I said to myself, "gosh, I hope I didn't break the damn glass!

I went into the hall crying like a baby.

I guess that is when everyone like my brother and other family/friends came out after they saw the court officers run like a bat out of hell after me(because that's how court officers run).

Chris who experienced much police misconduct toward himself, came out to protect me, which is the same thing I would of done for him if the situation were turned around, fact is some cops can't be trusted.

It's my fault and I feel bad.

Chris didn't hit anyone at the courthouse, and neither did Miles.

They let me go but not them.

You have to understand that I am a criminal justice major who use to go to the courthouse for fun just to see the outcome of cases to learn from them, quiet as a mouse, in no way did we all go there to disrespect the court house.

Period.

09/05/09 Please do not post my name at all - Wilbur Peck Voices Of Color Are Not Heard At The Greenwich Time

The Greenwich Time Can't Hear Wilbur Peck Residents

Getting The Story Correct:

Joseph Carey received probation for being present at the Wilbur Peck Court riot, not jail time.

The only justice that came from three innocent people being falsely arrested.

Daniel, Steven , and Joseph shouldn’t have even been arrested that day.

09/05/09 George Cardenas-Rey-Please do not post my name, Greenwich Police still harass people, you can post what I wrote below if u like

MORE ON THE WILBUR PECK DISTURBANCE:

George Cardenas-Rey and Christian Rosales are brothers.

They were the last to get kicked out, but have been seen in Wilbur Peck Court very recently, so residents have questioned whether or not a deal was cut with Greenwich Housing Authority.

They were also the Only Two who actually verbally threatened and physically fought with the police which started the confrontation with the officers. The Greenwich Police lied when they said that they were being threatened by Daniel, Joseph, and Steven. These three were onlookers just like everyone else, who were not present when the argument even started between Cardenas-Rey and the officers.

They also lied about the charges they put on them, and that they could have arrested others, everyone else was calming Joseph and Daniel down because they were sad, not mad, and didn’t want to see them getting arrested for asking the officers question at that particular time,as officers Zucerella was very much taser happy for no apparent reason.

As big as these boys are, no ladies could have held them back, if they really were trying to attack the officers, which they were not trying to do!

This is where Greenwich Time Reporter Debra Friedman didn’t get both sides or the whole truth!!!!

When you get into trouble, you get a chance of being treated unfairly, especially if your of color.

You Just Can't Trust Greenwich Time Reporting:
In the original story Superintendent of Schools Sidney Freund said he 10 parents and residents had complained and didn't want Obama's inspirational speech shown in the Greenwich Public Schools.
Superintendent Freund then said he only got 5 emails supporting the president's address to children.
The mentioning of the five supporting Obama's Inspirational Address has now been revised in the story as Superintendent Freund backtracks from his original statement.....
"Freund, who pointed out that five others either wrote or e-mailed the district to support the speech being broadcast, rejected the claim that the criticism played a role in the decision to delay the showing of the speech.

"My decision wasn't based on a poll of people," he said.
BUSTED:
Then Frank "The Sneak" MacEachern who supposedly posted this story 30 hours ago, but only published it in the paper today added this new material to the story:
........Ellen Taylor, a writer for a Greenwich-based investment newsletter, dismissed Freund's explanation.

"It was clear to me that the superintendent did back off because they got a lot of (criticism)," the Norwalk resident said. "Why are they bowing to pressures from a few right-wing people, or in other matters a few left-wing people? They should be honest to their mission of educating children."......

Taylor obtained an internal district e-mail that Greenwich Public Schools would not show the speech live, prompting her to fax a letter criticizing the decision to Deputy Superintendent of Schools Ellen Flanagan, Taylor said.....
Even More Updated Material Was Added To
Frank "The Sneak" MacEachern's
Original Greenwich Time Story :
......State Commissioner of Education Mark K. McQuillan sent a memo to school superintendents Friday calling the furor over the president's speech "truly unfortunate," "inaccurate" and "beyond the definition of responsible civil discourse."

McQuillan reviewed the materials relating to Obama's speech and said most of his themes are consistent with the messages delivered to the nation's young people from previous presidents, such as Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. They largely focus on the importance of staying in school and working hard, graduating and going to college. Along with the speech, the federal Department of Education has issued suggestions for activities and guided discussions, such as, "What is the President trying to tell me?" and "What resonated with you from President Obama's speech?"

While a decision on whether to watch the speech is a local matter, McQuillan urged local school boards and districts to give every consideration to providing students access to the address in a away that provides respect to the Office of the President.......
Greenwich Time Reporter
Frank "The Sneak" MacEachern
Also Added This......
.....Connecticut Department of Education spokesman Thomas Murphy said, "We don't see this as a great departure from the past, and the fact is it's welcome and we hope will be shown. It's really important to have our first African American president speak to our inner-city students.".....
Now Greenwich Superintendent of Schools
Sidney Freund Is Singing A whole new tune:
......Freund, of the Greenwich Public Schools, said there were questions about how the speech would be handled in the classroom, with some suggesting it could be politicized.

"We are sensitive to those concerns," he said, but added the president is talking about issues the district's educators speak about every day.

"I'm viewing it as a motivational speech by our nation's leader telling our students to study hard," he said. "It's one that we consistently deliver in school and it's being reinforced by the president."........
BY THE WAY:
The Editors At The Connecticut Post Have Higher Journalistic Standards Than The Editors Of The Greenwich Time. They Have The Same Story With The True Posting Time And Indicate That The Article Has Been Updated:
Staff and wire reports
Updated: 09/04/2009 11:29:33 PM EDT
The national furor over President Barack Obama's televised back-to-school speech to the nation's students has boiled over to a number of school districts in the region.

Greenwich Public Schools decided Friday to delay the showing of the speech to students. The decision came after the district received criticism from some who say the speech, to be delivered at noon Tuesday, is an example of Obama trying to promote a political agenda, taking the federal government too far into public school business.

Superintendent of Schools Sidney Freund said 10 residents and parents objected to the speech being broadcast in the school system.

Freund, who pointed out that five others either wrote or e-mailed the district to support the speech being broadcast, rejected the claim that the criticism played a role in the decision to delay the showing of the speech.

"My decision wasn't based on a poll of people," he said. ..... blah ..... blah ..... blah ..... blah ..... blah ..... blah ..... blah ......
ALSO:
Google Captured The Original Greenwich Time Post In It's Database:
Obama's speech to students will be delayed in Greenwich ... - 12:34pm
Sep 4, 2009 ... He said 10 residents and parents objected to the speech being broadcast at all in the school system. Five people either wrote or e-mailed to support the speech being broadcast, he said....
Please Note That:
Kim Eves Press Release Went Out At 12:03 PM Yesterday And The Original Greenwich Time Story Appeared At 12:34 PM According To Google.
Then At 7:17 PM Greenwich Roundup Published This:

However, Frank "The Sneak" MacEachern Fails To Indicate The Article Was Updated And Forgets To Correctly Modify The Date When He Changes The Time The Article Was Published.
LASTLY:
Did You Notice That Frank "The Sneak" MacEachern Did Not Have The Journalistic Balls To Publish The Date Time And Contents Of The Internal Board Of Education Email Obtained By Ellen Taylor That Said Greenwich Public Schools Would Not Show The President's Speech Live.

COMMENT:
Well Gary,
If you are right then Superintendent of Schools Sidney Freund lied to the Greenwich Time and the parents of the 9,000 school children who can't see the inspirational address from the President of the united States.
PLEASE SEE:
All Greenwich Public Schools students will see President Barack Obama's speech urging them to study hard and stay in school -- just not live on Tuesday, Superintendent of Schools Sidney Freund announced Friday.
Instead, individual principals will choose when the speech will be shown to the students."All of the students will see the speech," he promised.....
.......He said 10 residents and parents objected to the speech being broadcast at all in the school system.....
BUT GARY IS ALWAYS GETTING MAD

Maybe Gary Is So Confused And Misinformed, Because He Read The Secretly Modified Greenwich Time Article Instead Of The Origional Greenwich Time Article.
Poor Little Gary Probably Doesn't Realize That Superintendent of Schools Sidney Freund Has Now Backed Off His Original Statements To The Press.
