In addition to being a Professor Emerita of English at the University of Hartford in Connecticut, writer-photographer Jeanne Bonaca has traveled extensively in the American Southwest, documenting in words and images the landscape, culture and borderland human drama. Her translation of the work of Italian poet Marcello Fabbri, "The Light of Memory," was awarded Italy's Il Premio Casalguidi.
