08/27/10 Linda McMahon: Our stories
Greenwich Roundup – Over the last year, I've met thousands of people as our campaign has crisscrossed our great state for the more than 700 events that I've attended. One of the things I will never forget about my travels are the stories I've heard along the way. Each person I've met has their own story about why they support our campaign to bring real change to Washington. Our campaign is launching a new TV ad that features my longtime friend Judy Moorberg, and her story about why she supports our campaign. I wanted to give you a sneak preview before it hits the airwaves. After you watch the ad, please share our new ad on Facebook and forward this email to your friends so they can watch it too. All the best, P.S. In the coming weeks, our campaign will be providing opportunities for you to share your own story about why you support our campaign to put an end to politics as usual in Washington. I hope you'll share your story with us. Linda McMahon for Senate 2010

THE REV. JOEL WAYNE: Thieves who walk through the front door Greenwich Time ....Jesus tells a story about a shepherd and his flock in John 10:1-10. By speaking of sheep, a shepherd and a thief, Jesus teaches that many have chosen to follow the voice and instruction, not of the shepherd, but of the thief. They have allowed themselves to be deceived. They are no longer familiar with the voice of the shepherd. They have chosen to listen to strangers, wolves dressed as sheep, desiring to use them out of selfish motives. We have chosen to read from the wrong menu out of a shallow desire to appease the thieves. John 10:9-10 reads, "I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." The fulfillment we experience is established in the one whom we choose to follow. Our society is thirsty, and we are choosing to follow a path that will never lead us to water. We have allowed ourselves to listen to the voices of thieves, those who have their own agenda in mind, not our best interest. This is about God and his son, Jesus Christ. We are searching for water in a desert, always coming up dry. The frightening aspect is that we have begun inviting some of the thieves through our front door. Do you know what you want from life? Do you recognize the voice of Jesus?....... Joel Wayne is the pastor of Greenwich Baptist Church at 10 Indian Rock Lane. | ||

End-of-Summer Money Bomb -- $35k in 5 Days!Friends, As we prepare for the Fall election season, we are $35,000 away from the national GOP's fundraising goal for August. I need your help with a "money bomb" in the next five days to raise this money so we can continue to be one of the national GOP's targeted races for the Fall. Being tied in the polls with Jim Himes is a great place to be for August, but we need to pull ahead in the next 67 days. My name recognition is still only 50%, so we have a real opportunity to communicate our message of economic growth and small government through TV, radio, and mail. Your help will make this happen-- and continuing to meet the national GOP goals means that Washington will send serious money into our race. Any amount you care to donate is truly helpful. You can donate online or by personal check: Online: www.debicella.com Personal Check: Debicella for Congress PO Box 189 Shelton, CT 06484 Thank you again for your continued support. Together, we will make the phrase "House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi" a reality by Thanksgiving. All my best, --Dan PS If you are not able to donate we would appreciate if you could spare a couple of hours next week to come and volunteer at the campaign office. Please contact John@debicella.com or give our office a call at (203)663-2777. |
