Greenwich Time says......
A variety of unresolved facilities issues - most of them easy to fix - are preventing the Hamilton Avenue School from receiving sign-offs from inspectors necessary for students to return to the building, the school board told parents last night.
Broken glass needs to be repaired, as well as cracks in some of the floor-level surfaces that must be patched. The secondary drainage system is not functioning properly. And there are concerns about the amount of back-up power for the emergency lighting system.
In addition, crews mistakenly installed the building's thermostats too high to be in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Yet another difficulty: The facility's heating, ventilation and air conditioning system isn't providing enough airflow to parts of the building for reasons that continue to elude members of the school's building committee.
Though relatively easy to fix, these issues are keeping the building from receiving a temporary certificate of occupancy from the town's Buildings Department, according to Michael Bodson, the school board's liason with the school's building committee.....
Whoa Whoa Whoa
Slow Down There Colin....
"The facility's heating, ventilation and air conditioning system isn't providing enough airflow to parts of the building for reasons that continue to elude members of the school's building committee."
And This......
"Though relatively easy to fix, these issues are keeping the building from receiving a temporary certificate of occupancy from the town's Buildings Department....."
Hey Colin, we know your new to reporting on the failed school officials like Michael Bodson, but wasn't Hamilton Avenue school closed over air quality issues caused by mold?
Didn't air quality issues in the modular classroom buildings cause the unprecedented temporary classroom shutdown, that sent Hamilton Avenue School children to classrooms all over town?
Aren't the poor little children at Glenville School taking 45 minute bus trips, because the Hamilton Avenue School air conditioning system isn't providing enough airflow to all of the building?
Are Glenville School mothers and fathers forced to wait an hour or more to pick up their tired and stressed out children, because Frank Mazza and his band of idiots on the school building committee can't figure out why the Hamilton Avenue School air conditioning system isn't providing enough airflow to parts of the building?
Wasn't Worth construction trying "it's Best" to get the Hamilton Avenue School air conditioning system working back in June and July of this year?
Did Worth Construction miss the August first, seventh and fifteenth deadlines to get only a "temporary" certificate of occupancy, that will allow children to go to school as construction continues, because the Hamilton Avenue School air conditioning system isn't providing enough airflow to parts of the building?
Aren't Glenville Children going to be bused all over town until just before Halloween, because the Hamilton Avenue School heating, ventilation and air conditioning system isn't providing enough airflow to parts of the building for reasons that continue to elude Frank Mazza and his band of idiots on the school's building committee?
Won't failed school administrators and failed school board members be coming to the BET and the RTM looking for another $250,000 to $500,000 to pay for busing Glenville students all over town because the Hamilton Avenue School heating, ventilation and air conditioning system isn't providing enough airflow to parts of the building for reasons that continue to elude Frank Mazza and his band of idiots on the school's building committee?
THIS IS A MINOR PROBLEM?
As usual Colin's incomplete and unbalanced reporting comes shining through, only Michael Bodson, the school board's liaison with the school's building committee, who has repeatedly misled school parents and tax payers is quoted in this amateurishly written story.
Why is Co;in to lazy to pick up the phone and get quotes and information from other persons, besides failed school administrators and the failed school board members that lead them.
Why can't Colin get quotes and information from......
Glenville and Hamilton Avenue Parents who have to watch their children suffer year after year.
BET and RTM members who are tired of shelling out millions on Frank Mazza's Building committee.
Town Of Greenwich Building Department Officials.
Independent construction managers and building ventilation experts
The single family homeowners who's tax bill goes up every year.
Etc, Etc, Etc,.....
This unsolved three month old problem that continues to shut down Hamilton Avenue School is only reported as a "minor problem", because Michael Bodson, the school board's liaison with the school's building committee is leading Colin Gustafson around with a nose ring.
Michael Bodson: "Say Mooooo Colin."
Colin Gustafson: "MOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"
Michael Bodson: "That's My Little Hieffer."
