Rell endorses Foley for Connecticut governor

Former Gov. M. Jodi Rell says Democratic Gov. Dannel P. Malloy 's economic policies have hurt the state and she is endorsing GOP gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley in the Nov. 4 election. Rell says in a news release from the Connecticut Republican Party that the state needs to get out from under one-party rule and notes that Foley, a Greenwich businessman, has 35 years of experience in the profession.

Shoreline FC, a Greenwich and Madison-based Premier soccer club, excelled at the Northport Columbus Weekend Tournament, returning home from Long Island with four championship teams and one second-place squad. Represented by 13 teams, Shoreline FC competed against formidable squads from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut last weekend.
