Obama Will Likely Fly Into Westchester For Upcoming Greenwich Fundraiser

The event in Greenwich, Conn., is set for Oct. 7 at the Conyers Farm estate of Richard and Ellen Schapps Richman, who hosted Obama at a 2010 fundraiser, Hearst said. Obama is likely to fly into Westchester Airport in White Plains for this latest visit to the area.

Naugatuck Police Department Adds a New Officer

Urstadt Biddle sells Springfield, Mass., mall for $31 million

Urstadt Biddle Properties, a Greenwich-based real estate investment trust, said it has sold a 328,000 square-foot retail shopping mall in Springfield, Massachusetts, known as the "Five Town Plaza Shopping Center," for $31 million in cash. The property was sold to an institutional real estate company, and Urstadt Biddle will use the proceeds of the sale to repay existing debt, it said in a statement after markets closed on Thursday.

Greenwich Reads Together Program Receives State Humanities Grant

Greenwich Library announced that it has received a $1,500 grant from the Connecticut Humanities in support of Greenwich Reads Together.
