06/09/10 Too Many Things Get Swept Under The Rug In Greenwich

Hi

I never saw anything in the Greenwich Time about this.

It had to be around Mar/Apr. of '96; My Dad was involved in local politics for many years and I walked in on a conversation between he and a local Lawyer; apparently a high ranking official had "borrowed" a town car to attend a convention somewhere down south; after a night of drinking, he apparently hit a woman...

I believe she died...

Did you ever hear about this?

COMMENT:

Dear Anon,

No I never heard about this.

Perhaps some of our readers know of this

I did know that in the mid to late 90's a car hit several parked cars on Mill Street in Byram and then slamed into a deli

The deli was closed for months, but there was never an article in the Greenwich Citizen, the Greenwich Post or the Greenwich Time.

Some say the driver was a the family member of a Greenwich Police officer, others say the driver was a drunk Greenwich Police officer.

How can a car plow into a building and not get reported in the local newspapers or WGCH?

A couple of days ago a car crashed into Milburn, NJ Building

Executive Corner Deli & Catering now stands at the 229 Mill Street crash site

So it's possible that the incident that you mention occurred and was covered up.

So many things are covered up in Greenwich.

Over the last few days, Greenwich Roundup has been talking
about how the Hamilton Avenue School PTA
is covering up where the $59,000
that was earned at Harborfest went.

Yet not one Ham Ave PTA Board Member
or Ham Ave School official
has commented about
where the $59,000 went.

No one wants to report who got paid
and how much they got.
