06/08/10 Response to Hamilton Ave piece

To Greenwich Roundup

Perhaps, Harborfest was not the financial success that was hoped for, but Bob Mcintyre is deserving of kudos not the lies in this written piece of trash.

Mr. Mcintyre worked on Harborfest day and night for over 14 months. Mr. Mcintyre put his heart and soul into Harborfest. It was a total labor of love as he displayed many times talking of its planning. From the start, it was Mr. Mcintyre's intent to share any profits with three very worthy causes as well as Hamilton Avenue School.

Was Harborfest as big a financial success as was hoped for, probably not. Success is not just judge in dollars, what Bob Mcintyre did for Hamilton Avenue School and the community has no equal, nor will it for a long time, if ever. Bob, your only mistake was being a kind, loyal, tireless volunteer and devoted father with a vision.(think I should say volunteer again, get it, Mr. Mcintyre did hundreds of hours of work for FREE).

How does it go, no good deed goes unpunished! Shame on the writer of this submission. For my family and the families of Hamilton Avenue School, Mr. Bob Mcintyre is our hero.

P.S. I was at PTA dinner, NO LOBSTER. OBTW, all the guests paid their own way, would you like to see my cancelled check?

P.S.S. The time of the planes flying overhead, 7 am Saturday morning. I believe Indian Harbor was serving coffee and juice, no adult beverages.

Comment:

Dear Ms. Dunn,

Thank you for your comments in support of
Bob "I Don't Have To Tell Anybody Where The $59,000 Went" Mcintyre.

If Mr. Mcintyre is such a great guy, then why wont he itemize
for the parents of Hamilton Avenue school, what the $59,000 was spent on?

I have heard from HAM Ave parents, that Mr. Mcintyre is lucky
that the Greenwich Time is too afraid to rock the boat
and report real local news.

Or perhaps the real reason for Mr. Mcintyre's luck is that
CT Attorney General Richard Blumenthal is out campaigning
and ignoring the duties of his office.

Mr. Mcintyre and the rest of the Ham Ave PTA only has this problem,
because they are avoiding their fiscal responsibility
of reporting how the $59,000 was spent.

Someone needs to explain why "once again" the children of
Hamilton Avenue school are left holding an empty bag.

The Ham Ave PTA spends 14 months on Mr. Mcintyre's party
and the kids don't even get 14 bucks.
