IT IS NOT JUST ONE KID!!
Several kids have tested positive for Flu and medical samples will be sent to the State for confirmation of Swine Flu.
Dozens of children have had to go to the ER.
The child with the Swine Flu was sick on monday and went to the nurse.
He was pulled out of the activities most of that day.
Greenwich Public Schools was notified.
Friday he was diagnoised with the Flu and given anti-viral drugs that school personell helped administer to the child, before he went on and durring school field trip.
While there is no need to panic, there is certainly need to proceed with caution.
The school should be disinfected from top to bottom and all children with flu like symptoms should be tested and removed from the school instead of being sent back to thier classrooms.
This outbreak is getting out of hand, because nessary precautions were not immediately taken by School superintendent Betty Sternberg.
Extra School nurses should have been assigned to the school, after a bus load of sick children were returned to the night before.
The school should have been closed today and Friday. There were only 22 6th graders in school. There would be no harm in closing the school Friday and no harm in cancelling the dance Friday night.
It is better to be safe than sorry.
Why not try and keep the children from being in a confinded space, with no good air quality?
