FIRST COUNTY’S MORTGAGE TEAM HIRES POST, ROBINSON
STAMFORD, Conn., Oct. 11, 2011 -- Industry veterans, Bruce Post and Alice Robinson, recently joined First County Bank as mortgage loan originators adding to the bank’s growing department.
Their primary responsibilities include providing the front-facing link to solving customers’ borrowing needs as the bank continues to build a results-oriented sales team. They will capitalize on First County Bank’s huge growth opportunity in the residential mortgage market, matching the bank’s products and services to customer requirements. They will grow a base of new customers and referral sources, like realtors and attorneys, and cultivate the relationships to develop strong, repeat business from borrowers.
Their roles also include outreach to first-time homebuyers looking to get people into their next home. Both Post and Robinson are very familiar with residential mortgages for conventional, jumbo and construction loans.
Post, most recently a senior mortgage consultant with NewAlliance Bank in Milford, Conn., comes to First County Bank with more than 20 years experience as a sales person, sales manager and sales trainer. Post also worked for PHH Financial Services, First Franklin/Merrill Lynch, First Union Home Equity and AVCO Financial Services.
Prior to joining First County Bank, Robinson worked as a mortgage loan officer at Stamford First Bank. Prior to that, she worked at Bank of America for 21 years, leaving as a senior loan officer. Robinson, who has worked in the banking industry for more than 26 years, has also worked at Webster Bank and Fleet Bank.
“Both Bruce and Alice are very experienced loan originators who know the Fairfield County area and can match a bank loan product to meet a customer’s need,” said David Zamary, senior vice president, residential lending at First County Bank. “The addition of these two professionals will help our team of loan officers increase the residential home loan market, especially for first time home buyers and refi borrowers.”
Post, who lives in Orange, Conn. with his wife and three children, earned a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing from Abilene Christian University in Texas. Robinson, who lives in Norwalk with her son, earned certificates in business banking and accounting from the American Institute of Banking, and earned an associate’s degree in business finance and marketing from the Katherine Gibbs School.
