09/27/11 Bangladesh Is The House: Guess What Happens When You Order A Free Domain Name That Comes With Cheap $4.95 Web Hosting?

Computer hackers from far off Bangladesh are being blamed for a website defacement attack on the campaign websites of Greenwich Democrats Drew Marzullo and Bill Grad on Sunday.

Mr. Marzullo is seeking a second term as a selectman could only stand by and watch as his web domain drewmarzullo.com was controlled from half way around the world.

Mr. Grad, who is running for tax collector, also was surprised to discover that his website was posting "You have been hacked by Bangladesh"

Mr. Grad's website is billgrad.com.

Both democratic candidates use the same Internet hosting service, Web Hosting Hub Eventually, the budget hosting company was able to resolve the problem by rolling back to a previous backup.

Former Greenwich High School student Jack Appelbaum helped both Mr. Marzullo and Mr. Grad create their campaign websites.

During a recent password audit, it was found that two
Greenwich Democrats were using the following password:

"MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofyHartford"

When the two democrat candidates were asked why they
had such a long password, they said that they were told
that the password had to be at least 8 characters
