Greenwich Roundup – Richard Blumenthal will be the guest on Sunday's "Face the State," which airs on Hartford station WFSB. The program's moderator, Dennis House, says that while recording the interview, he encountered "a very different Dick Blumenthal." House notes that Blumenthal "used to the be the most accessible public official in our land ... offering reporters his personal cell phone number and granting interviews at a moment's notice. His eager willingness to go on camera was a running joke among his staff, journalists, columnists and radio disc jockeys ... even himself." Those days are over. House says Blumenthal dodged questions and "delivered answers to something else that seemed rehearsed." A newspaper reporter thinks Blumenthal "has been in absentia." A columnist writes that he "seems to have gone underground." A prominent political consultant says he appears "unprepared to shift into a dialogue on national issues." My agenda's no secret: I'm running to stop runaway spending in Washington, prevent middle-class tax increases and put Connecticut back to work. I'm not avoiding anyone. As I've toured downtowns, visited ballparks, and attended local festivals -- 600 events so far -- I've invited the media to come along. Connecticut deserves a Senator who faces the public and the press. Here's what you can do today to help our campaign bring change to Washington:
