06/14/10 PRESS RELEASE:BLYTH, INC. ANNOUNCES CORPORATE GOVERNANCE ENHANCEMENTS

Blyth, Inc., a leading multi-channel designer and marketer of home fragrance products, home decor products and household convenience items, today announced the results of its 2010 annual meeting of stockholders. At the meeting, stockholders re-elected directors Robert B. Goergen, Neal I. Goldman and Howard E. Rose.

The stockholders also overwhelmingly approved amendments to the company's bylaws and certificate of incorporation adopting a majority voting standard for the election of directors and declassifying the structure of the board of directors so that all board members will be elected annually beginning at the 2011 annual meeting of shareholders. The majority voting standard requires that, in order to be considered for nomination by the Board of Directors, a person must agree to submit an irrevocable resignation to the Board if he or she fails to receive a majority vote. The resignation will be contingent upon acceptance by the Board of Directors.

Commenting on the events of today, Robert B. Goergen, Blyth's Chairman of the Board and CEO, said, "We continue to build on our strong foundation of corporate governance, and I am pleased the board supported these actions."
