05/08/10 Jeff Weber's Reponce To Greenwich Roundup's Responce, Which Responded To Jeff Weber's Reponce To One Of Greenwich Roundup's Articles

WGCH's JEFF WEBER WRITES:

Thanks for your response to my comments on your recent blog.

I am surprised however, that you still are making misstatements despite my correcting them for you.

I am also surprised that you have not taken down the headline and statement Jeff "The Hustler" Weber as you indicated in your response that perhaps that was "too strong". Perhaps I have to formally request that you refrain from that characterization of me. If so, I do just that now.

Regarding your comments regarding WCTE: Again, our company never had anything to do with a station with that call letters nor did I ever see a story that referred to our operating of 540 AM with those call letters. We operated that station for three years, but it was sold to another company a few years ago. We never owned it.

Concerning your comments about WGCH's failure to report on the arrest of the two principles of Spongetech, again you are incorrect. We DID report on it. It aired throughout our morning newscast on Thursday, May 6, 2010 and again throughout the day during the Noon and afternoon newscasts.

You spoke about my "recent bonus of $6,500." Wish I new about that: I haven't received a bonus in that amount nor any bonus in any amount in at least two years.

You also responded to one of my comments and asked: "Are you saying that you have abstained from voting your 6.38% of Map VI acquisitions? As we are not a publicly traded company, there are no calls for votes. Many of your comments and statements are predicated on our being a public company;we are not.

So again, I repeat: I am not a member of the board of directors and therefore have never voted on matters decided by it.

Additionally, your continued comments about "Jeff Weber's company" are erroneous as that statement indicates I own it or it belongs to me. Maybe you think that is splitting hairs however I find it to be a misleading statement.

Regarding the network studios located at WGCH, I would suggest your research is a bit flawed as our network studios and offices have been located in Stamford for about four years. I resent your statement that I am trying to hustle you. I cordially invite you to stop by at a time convenient to both of us so I can give you a tour.

The WGCH studios are in Greenwich as they have been for more than 40 years and are hardly in a small room as you have stated.

I am surprised that you refer to me as Chief Operating Officer of the company. I am not nor have I ever been.

I would hope that the incorrect statements and misrepresentations you've made will be corrected so that your blog does not contain erroneous information. You said that Greenwich Roundup is only out to get the truth. If so, then I would expect corrections to the information I've outlined here. In the past, I've respected your blog for digging into stories. And I've told you so on occasion. However, digging for the truth and trying to create the impression I'm a "hustler" or money grubbing individual because I work with someone who was arrested is an unfair characterization.

You don't know me...you don't know who I am or anything else about my character. To denigrate it and me is wrong. I have worked hard all my life to earn the kind of compensation I do. And I'm not embarrassed by it. I'm an honest person who never earned a penny illegally or immorally. You have deeply insulted me by your rush to judgement.

Jeff Weber
COMMENT:

Dear Mr. Weber:

Since you have been at WGCH there have been hundreds of town residents who have felt that they have been slighted by the station.

Local author and blogger Greenwich Diva was unhappy about how the Greenwich Time covered how she and her friends were treated by the Greenwich Police Department when she and some of her friends exercised in a public park. Your radio station parroted the Greenwich Time coverage that she felt was extremely slanted against her and the other ladies.

She and some of the other ladies might love to go on WGCH and have a say about how minorities are treated in Greenwich, but that wont ever happen while you and Tony Savino are in charge of the news.

When was the last time, you guys went down to town hall to file a Freedom of Information request for embarrassing information about persons doing wrong doing in town government?

WGCH used to do this.

I think the last time was when Jim "The Voice Of Greenwich" Thompson filed a Freedom of Information request for town employees were stealing park passes. So after that you guys fired him.

Many voices in town don't get heard at WGCH and the other mainstream media outlets in town - and most of those voices are from the weakest members of Greenwich society.

You guys pick and choose who gets ignored all of the time.
Recently, The Greenwich Time refused to print a letter to the editor from RTM member Paul Curtis (District 9) about RTM Moderators sneaky vote after the vote maneuver.

But Greenwich Roundup prides himself on letting all voices into the conversation, especially those who disagree with his posts.

Greenwich Roundup is surprised that you are surprised he has "not taken down the headline and statement" 05/07/10 WGCH Boss Jeff "The Hustler" Weber Has A Lot Of Explaining To Do About His Major "Map VI Acquisition" Holdings
Greenwich Roundup is not taking down any headlines or posts.

He will let you respond to any of these posts, because he is believes in free speach.
One thing, that kills me is how mainstream media types have a thin skin and can dish it out and can't take it.

When Fox News reporter Charlie Gaspariono, did not like Greenwich Time reporter Teri Buhl calling him a gasbag and mentioning the street he lived on, he went ballistic calling her immediate editor, Hearst Newspaper Editor David McCumber and Hearst Newspaper President Steven Swartz, in an effort to get her fired.

Greenwich Roundup was angry at hypicrite like Fox New reporter Charlie Gasparino trying to censor news reports about him and published 03/21/10 Fox News Boy Charlie Gasparino Has No Comment About Teri Buhl's Firing At The Greenwich Time When Greenwich Roundup Called Him Up .

The First Time Ex-Greenwich Time Editor Bruce Hunter Had Hearst Corporation calling demanding that Greenwich Roundup take post down. I said get out of here. This clown is in the public domain, he is the editor of a daily newspaper in one of the wealthiest communities in America.

If Charlie Gasparino and Bruce Hunter can't take the heat, they should get out of the kitchen.

And the same goes for you Jeff.

Your even featured on the Wikipedia pages of others.

In fact, this page, under the heading of "Where Are They Now" we hind the following....

"Former OM/PD Jeff "Jeffrey Jay" Weber is Executive Vice-President/part owner of the Business TalkRadio Network and the Lifestyle TalkRadio Network in Greenwich CT, a position he has held since 2002."

Technically, I could say I think President Obama, Joe Lieberman and Chris Dodd are "hustling" us and none of them could do a damn thing about, because they are public figures.

Jeff you and I could both join the tea party and call the president a Nazi, even though he is not.

Sam Romeo can get on WGCH and call our Commander and Chief a socialist, and the president can not do a damn thing about. If Whitehouse Press Secretary Robert Gibbs calls Sam Romeo and says....

"I am surprised that you have called our president a socialist and I have to formally request that you refrain from that characterization of Barack Obama"
You and Sam Romeo would tell Gibbs to go jump in the Mianus river.

I understand that you don't like the word hustler used with your name, and I am really trying not to use that word when I refer to you, but I keep getting the feeling that you are misleading me.

For Example, I feel hustled when you write ....

"Regarding your comments regarding WCTE: Again, our company never had anything to do with a station with that call letters nor did I ever see a story that referred to our operating of 540 AM with those call letters. We operated that station for three years, but it was sold to another company a few years ago. We never owned it."

Jeffrey, Jeffery, Jeffery please stop tring to hustle Greenwich Roundup.
When Greenwich Roundup goes to Google and types in "Jeff Weber WTCE" he finds this listing....

"Metter and Weber "bring a professionalism to WGCH that it was never blessed with before," Boyle said.

While Metter is committed to local radio, he does have his sights set on being a major player in the industry. Besides acquiring two national networks, Business TalkRadio also sealed a deal to buy the Long Island station it currently operates, WCTE 540 AM, for $9 million. "

The Stamford Advocate article also says ....

"Then, last December, Metter and Weber made their small radio business bigger by buying Liberty Broadcasting Network, which was owned by telecommunications company IDT Corp. The deal gave Business TalkRadio certain assets of Liberty Broadcasting, including the network's 400 affiliate agreements and host contracts.

IDT, a publicly traded company whose core business is telecommunications, made a $2.5 million investment in the Business TalkRadio Network and become a minority shareholder in the company.

The acquisition had a tremendous upside for the business, said Weber. "We had talked for a long time about creating a lifestyles radio network," he said. But starting from scratch is very expensive. By buying an established network with affiliates and personalities in place, it is quite easy to expand it into a 24/7 network, Weber said.

Metter and Weber expanded the programming and named the new network Lifestyle TalkRadio.

With two networks and plans to go public, Business TalkRadio is now looking for a bigger headquarters. The WGCH building is full, forcing Metter to put some of the Lifestyle network's studio operations at the Long Island station."

But Jeff you don't stop misleading and hustling Greenwich Roundup readers there.
You then write ...

"You spoke about my "recent bonus of $6,500." Wish I new about that: I haven't received a bonus in that amount nor any bonus in any amount in at least two years."
Jeffrey, Jeffrey, Jeffrey please stop trying to husle me.

You know that your company Map VI Aqusitions has has a long history of filing legally required SEC reports up to two years late. So when Greenwich Roundup says recent he means the most recent SEC document on file.

However, Jeff I did find a more recent and detailed SEC document that indicates that you are right and recently your bonuses were not $6,500. - THE BONUSES WERE OVER $ 30,000.

In 2007, you got a cah bonus of 38,467.03 and a stock bonus of 30,000 shares along with automobile expenses of 9,450.76.

In 2008, you got a cah bonus of 32,163 and a stock bonus of 35,000 shares along with automobile expenses of 9,964.56.

This was all on top of a yearly compensation of $134,000.

Jeff you said .....

"In the past, I've respected your blog for digging into stories.

And I'm not embarrassed by it."

Jeff, Greenwich Roundup is not denigrating your level of compensation, but he thinks you and Michael Metter should be ashamed of how you have earned your compensation.

A lot of folks, just might get left holding the bag with Map VI Aqusition AKA Blue Star Media AKA Business Talk Radio Network. I just hope none of WGCH's or Business Talk Radio employees have any of this toxic stock put away for retirement.

Jeff you need to be accountable to these people who work for you and to the minority shareholders of Map VI Aqusitions.

Jeff you say ....

"You also responded to one of my comments and asked: "Are you saying that you have abstained from voting your 6.38% of Map VI acquisitions? As we are not a publicly traded company, there are no calls for votes. Many of your comments and statements are predicated on our being a public company;we are not. So again, I repeat:

I am not a member of the board of directors and therefore have never voted on matters decided by it."

Jeff you are listed as the Eecutive Vice President and thus a Corporate officer who reported To CEO and President Micheal Metter at Map VI Aqusitions.

Jeff you also say that...

"I am surprised that you refer to me as Chief Operating Officer of the company. I am not nor have I ever been."

Jeff I refer to you as the Chief Operating Officer because you are the corporate officer responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of Map VI Acquisition and for operations management (OM) of WGCH and The Business Talk Radio network. As COO you are one of the highest-ranking members of an organization's senior management, you monitor the daily operations of the company and reporting to the top executive officer, Greenwich Con Man Michael Metter, who is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Map Vi Acquisition AKA Blue Star Media AKA Business Talk Radio.

===============================
Please send your comments, news tips and press releases to GreenwichRoundup@gmail.com

Jeff if you are not the Chief Operations Officer, then which other Map VI Acquisitions corporate officer is the COO.

SEC Documents only lists two other corporate officers for Map VI Acquisition

1. Michael Metter who is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

2. Joy Marshall who is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Jeff, it looks like that only leaves you to be the day to day operations manager of Map VI Acquisition AKA Blue Star Media, AKA, Business Talk Radio Network.

Jeff if you were not in charge of the day to day operations management of this company, then who was?

Jeff, as you well know, Map VI Acquisition, Inc. was incorporated in the state of Delaware on November 22, 2006. In Delaware you can have one man corporations, and Micheal Metter's fellow con man Steve Moskowitz was the President/Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operations Officer, and Chairman of the the one man Board of directors.

Steve Moskowitz approved a Map VI Acquisition Merger Agreement on January 31, 2009.

Steve Moskowitz, was Map VI Acquisition President until his resignation immediately after the Closing. Upon Mr. Moskowitz’s resignation, the following individuals were appointed as officers:

Michael Metter, President and CEO

Joy Marshall, Chief Financial Officer

Jeff Weber Executive Vice President And COO.

But Jeff you don't have to take my word that you are the chief Operating Officer of Map VI Acquisition. Lets Look at a Map VI Acquisition filing that made on you behalf byRichard Friedman, Esq.

And I Quote ....

"JEFF WEBER EXECUTIVE VICE-PRESIDENT

Mr. Weber serves as Executive Vice President of the Network. He has more than 30 years of experience in the radio industry, including 20 as a general manager in markets including Albany, NY. In addition, he has owned stations in Logan, Utah and Amsterdam, New York. From 1999 to 2001, he worked as a local sales manager for WTTS-FM and WGCL-AM in Indianapolis. From 2001 to 2002, he worked as General Sales Manager for WZBA-FM in Baltimore. Mr. Weber managed two radio properties for Metter Broadcasting/Sage Broadcasting from 1985 to 1987. His background also includes several years as a program director in the early part of his career. He is currently a member of the Broadcast Cable Financial Management Association.

Mr. Weber is primarily responsible for the day-in day-out operations of both the networks and the four radio stations."

Jeff did you lie to the SEC when you told them that you were "responsible for the day-in day-out operations" of Map VI Acquisition.

Jeff I guess that is why you get the Big bucks at WGCH and Map VI Acquisition.

Finally Jeff I will try and clear up a few final issue that you raise.

Jeff you say ...

"Regarding the network studios located at WGCH, I would suggest your research is a bit flawed as our network studios and offices have been located in Stamford for about four years. I resent your statement that I am trying to hustle you. I cordially invite you to stop by at a time convenient to both of us so I can give you a tour."

Jeff I did see references to 401 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902

However, I was a bit unsure of the address, Greenwich Con Man Micheal Metter has had a history of using fake addresses in the past

I based my comments from personal experience, years ago I used to listen to radio show called computer America on WGCH, this show was a part of both the so-called Business and Lifestyle talk networks.

The host of the show was a fellow named Craig Crossman, and he had a co-host named Mark. There was a giveaway and I won a prize. Mr. Crossman seemed ecstatic, because I was listening on "WGCH 1490 AM the flagship station of the Business Talk radio network".

Mr. Crossman, told me to stay on the line and to wait and give my personal; information off the air. I got to talking to the guy who was taking my personal information and he told me he was operating both the WGCH board and the business talk radio board. Now this sounds like the Business Talk Radio board and WGCH board were being operated out of one room.

I saved a copy of that Computer America episode and I think I still have it on one of my backup hard disks.

Now I will grant you that at this time WGCH was in the shadow of the old Food Emporium on Putnam avenue and you have since moved.

You have repeated gone on and on about the new 1,500 square foot WGCH offices, but no one is that impressed with the size of your studios.

This is about the size of a neighborhood deli here in Greenwich. Most bank branches in town that are bigger than 15,000 square feet.

If your offer still stands, I would accept your offer of a tour of the Stamford facility.

Lastly, Jeff you say....

"Concerning your comments about WGCH's failure to report on the arrest of the two principles of Spongetech, again you are incorrect. We DID report on it. It aired throughout our morning newscast on Thursday, May 6, 2010 and again throughout the day during the Noon and afternoon newscasts."

If this is true I did not hear this. If Greenwich Police Chief David Ridberg had been arrested by the FBI aqnd held on a two million dollar bail I am sure I would have heard in great detail.

Could you please provide an audio file of your coverage of Micheal Metter being arrested and being given a two million dollar bail?
