05/22/09 Reader Submitted Comments: As a former newspaper reporter, it pains me to say it - but the Greenwich Time is dead as the cassette tape.

I don’t see any advantage to reading a physical newspaper, as opposed to online media. The Greenwich Time not only costs more, but uses paper inefficiently. The sections you don’t read simply go to waste.

I feel for those, like myself, who lose jobs because of this.

However, I don’t think we should try to stop progress. Instead we should focus on shifting those jobs to new sectors in the media(online, etc.).
