Here Is Apeek At What Blogs Might Look Like When They Are Incoprporated Into The Greenwich Time Under New Editor David McCumber. It Looks Very Simular To Gannett Did With The LoHud Site In Westchester County......

Former PI managing editor takes job in Connecticut
Seattle Post Intelligencer - The Big Blog
David McCumber, former managing editor of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, is taking his talent out East.

After more than 30 years in the newspaper business, including nine years strengthening investigative and local coverage at the P-I, McCumber will become editor of two of Hearst's newspapers in Connecticut -- The Advocate of Stamford and the Greenwich Time, as well as editorial director of Hearst's Connecticut Newspaper Group.

He'll begin April 27.

"David has been a valuable members of the Hearst Newspapers team for the last decade and we are excited to have his leadership at 'The Advocate' and 'Greenwich Time,'" said Hearst Newspapers President Steven R. Swartz. "He will also bring a wealth of editorial experience and journalistic vision to all out Connecticut papers."

In addition to his duties in Connecticut, McCumber will work with Phil Bronstein, editor-at-large for Hearst Newspapers and the San Francisco Chronicle, and investigative reporters across Hearst's 15 daily and 49 weekly newspapers to coordinate investigative projects throughout the chain.

McCumber was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 1984 at the Arizona Daily Star and is the author of four nonfiction books, including An Air That Kills, which he co-wrote with former P-I investigative reporter Andrew Schneider.

We Have All Seen The Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba Boring Blogs The That Are Produced By Gannet's In House Bloggers At The Lo-Hud Site......

Hopefully, The Greenwich Time Wont Go The Corporate Gannet Route Of Boring Reporters Being Forced To Type Out Another Dry And Lifeless Daily Blog Post.

The New Greenwich Time Editor David McCumber, Has A Real Chance To Seek Out Real Citizen Journalists Who Go Places In Town And Experience Things That Hearst Newspapers Just Don't Know About.

Take Greenwich Roundup For Instance......

Here Is A Real Citizen Journalist Who Was Blind At Birth In His Right Eye And Sees Very Little Out Of His Left Eye Which Is Crossed.

The Right Eye Developed Glaucoma At Age Seven And Had To Be Removed At Before The Glaucoma Spread To His Left Eye And Took Away What Little Vision He Had.

Greenwich Roundup Doesn't Drive Around Town. He Walks And Meets The Members Of Greenwich Society That The Greenwich Citizen, The Greenwich Post And The Greenwich Time Ignores.

Greenwich Roundup Is Self Employed He Operates A Cleaning Service That Cares For Buildings In Town. He Has A Wife Who Is Korean And Most Recently Operated A Store In The Byram Section Of Town.

Greenwich Roundup Has Two Sons, Both Of Whom Are Still Finishing Their Education. The Youngest Son Is An Iraq War Hero Who Recently Returned Home With A Bronze Star And Is Forming A Veterans Club At Norwalk Community College.

Greenwich Roundup Is An Elected Official On The Representative Town Meeting, But Has Became Disillusioned With The Byram District 4 RTM, Because It Would Rather Talk About Goose Poop In The Byram Park Instead Of The Drugs And Crime That Infest Byram's Streets.

Before Being On The RTM Greenwich Roundup Served As An Election Official At The Western Middle School In 12 Hour Shifts Helping Greenwich Citizen's To Vote.

Greenwich Roundup Used To Volunteer At Many Groups In Fairfield And Westchester County, But Now Has Shifted To Volunteering At His Place Of Worship Which Is Harvest Time Church.

Greenwich Roundup Serves Refreshments At Harvest Time Church And Likes Helping Take Care Of The Building, Because Greenwich Roundup Seven Months Ago Converted From Judaism To Christianity.

Greenwich Roundup Is Not An Israeli, But A Levite, Isreali's Got Land And Levites Did Not. Family Tradition Said That We Were Not Kohanim("Priests"), But A Gershonite, Who Cared For The Temple Building And Filled Different Roles In The Tabernacle And Later In The Temple Services.

Traditionally, Levites' Principal Roles In The Temple Included Singing Psalms During Temple Services, Performing Construction And Maintenance For The Temple, Serving As Guards, And Performing Other Services. Levites Also Served As Teachers And Judges, Maintaining Cities Of Refuge For Those In Trouble In Biblical Times. .

Technically, Greenwich Roundup's Blind Eye Made Him Ritually Unclean To Truly Serve In A Temple In The Proper Way.

Maybe The Reason Greenwich Roundup Like Helping Others And Taking Care Of Buildings Is That These Traits Are In His DNA.

Greenwich Roundup's Wife Was Buddhist, But Converted To Christianity Two Years Ago.

My Wife Is A very Forgiving And Compassionate Person, Who Does Not Hold A Grudge. But Greenwich Roundup Follows The Marine Code....

No Better Friend - No Worse Enemy

However, Greenwich Roundup Is Constantly Pester By His Wife And Church Members Who Say We Should Be Kind To And Pray For The Unjust Members Of Greenwich Society.

Greenwich Roundup Has A Hard Time Turning The Other Cheek, Because There Is A Big Chip On My Shoulder.

Plus It Stings When Someone Slaps You In The Face!!!!

Being Of Jewish Decent It Is Hard To Get The Torah Teaching That Says "An Eye For An Eye And A Tooth For A Tooth" Out Of My Head.

Sometimes, My Fellow Christians Forget That The Loving Jesus Said That He Will Fry The Unjust In Hell.

My Only Worry Is That I Maybe One Of The Unjust, So I Am Trying To Learn And Be Kind And Compassionate To Even Those I Perceive As Unjust In Greenwich.

But It Is Hard To Pray For A Greenwich Billionaire Hedge Fund Manager Being Taxed At 15%, While His Secretary Is Taxed At 35% And Worries About Losing Her Home.

At The End Of The Month When You Know That Some Small Child Of A Byram Day Laborer Is Going To Bed Hungry, Because Cold Hard Cash Has To Be Handed Over To A Backcountry Family Who Wastes So Much Food.

It Just So Hard To Pray For Things That You Just Don't Understand.

...I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God - Jesus Christ

Greenwich Roundup Will Now Step Off His Soap Box And Bring You ....
