Steven Bozzuto, 11, went to several homes on his Glenville street early Saturday morning to collect grocery bags filled with canned goods and non-perishable food for the Boy Scouts annual food drive.
Local Scouts collected items from their neighborhoods and brought them to the Glenville and Cos Cob fire stations, where they were sorted and counted to be taken to Neighbor to Neighbor, a Greenwich-based food pantry for low-income families.
Earlier in the week, Steven, a member of Troop 35 in Glenville, had placed notices and plastic bags in his neighbors' mailboxes asking them to donate any items. The neighbors then placed the filled bags on the porch or on the mailbox for Steven to collect....
