The following are Feb. 9’s released arrests:
ASSAULT
A 39-year-old Greenwich man was arrested Feb. 6 and charged with third degree assault. Police responded to a reported domestic incident. A woman told police that she had an argument with her husband after he attempted to force himself upon her in a sexual manner and she refused to concent. According to police, the woman claimed she told her husband several times to get away from her and that he scratched her cheek while she was squirming to get away. The man was released on a $1,000 cash bond and was due in court Feb. 9.
EXTORTION
A 30-year-old Greenwich man was arrested Feb. 7 and charged with criminal attempt at extortion and second degree harassment. According to police, a woman appeared at headquarters to say that her ex-boyfriend was attempting to extort her. She alleged that he had threatened to upload a “compromising video” of her onto the Internet. The woman claimed that the threats took place over a series of conversations on the telephone, text messaging and over the Internet between Feb. 5 and Feb. 7. She told police the man told her on Feb. 7 through a text message that if she didn’t pay him $1,000 by that afternoon he would put the video online. The man was released on a $5,000 surety bond and was due in court Feb. 9.
LARCENY
Anthony Bochicchio, 55, of 18 Sinawoy Road was arrested Feb. 7 and charged with sixth degree larceny. Police had been sent to CVS on the report of a shoplifter. A manager gave a description of Bochicchio and claimed he took hair care products and left without paying for them. Officers then saw him near the scene and he was questioned by officers before he was allegedly identified by the store manager. Bochicchio was released on a promise to appear and is due in court Feb. 17.
