Adults, who use news websites and read printed newspapers are 82% more likely to be early adopters of new products and the latest technology.

Items on news websites is deemed "more credible" than items on other online sites such social networks which are perceived as influencing word of mouth.
News website users are also more likely to be asked their opinion on politics (69%), Investments (63%), Sports (38%), Consumer Electronics (32%) and cooking/Entertainment (23%).

News website users are more confident their opinions resonate with immediate family (73%), Friends / Co-Workers (62%), Business / Professional Associates (46%) and common interest groups (39%).
