State elections investigators easily caught a retired Greenwich investor who used his credit card to provide illegal $100 contributions in the names of eight family members to Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley. Several of the family members were unaware that Brian Lippey made the contributions and some were listed as living at Lippey's Havemeyer Place home, even though they actually reside out of state, according to the State Elections Enforcement Commission.
