BLANKLEY CALLS ON TESEI TO APOLOGIZE FOR REMARKS AT DEBATE

Tesei says Blankley would run Greenwich like a "dictatorship"

GREENWICH, CT October 21, 2011 – Greenwich First Selectman candidate John Blankley today called on First Selectman Peter Tesei to take accountability and apologize for comments he made at the Byram Neighborhood Association's debate in which Tesei suggested Blankley would run the town like a "dictatorship" should he win the seat on November 8^th.

"Mr. Tesei's outrageous accusation that I plan to govern the Town of Greenwich as the 'dictator' of a 'regime' is completely out of line," said Blankley. "I demand an apology from Mr. Tesei who, as First Selectman, should show the common sense and responsibility to own up to the absurd and offensive nature of these remarks which have no place in this campaign."
