To the editor:
It's gratifying to know Peter Tesei has fulfilled his campaign promises to our seniors, our children and our safety.
In 2009 Peter expanded the town's senior tax relief by implementing the senior tax deferral program that had overwhelming support of the BET and RTM. He's vigilant in his support of Project Renew at Nathaniel Witherell. Our Senior Center continues to expand activities and our Continuing Education programs are second to none in serving a diverse town of people and interests.
The completion of the Glenville and Hamilton Avenue schools are reality. His long-term commitment to education is evidenced with the funding and subsequent groundbreaking of the Music Instructional Space and Auditorium at GHS.
Our Police Headquarters is a world-class safety complex. Our reverse 911 system is a valued communication tool to the entire community. The North Street Fire station minimizes response time on both sides of the Merritt Parkway in northwest Greenwich. We are moving forward with our downtown fire station.
These are the realities of four years under Peter Tesei's experience and leadership. Peter has exceeded his campaign promises. His accomplishments during his two terms reflect his ability to put Greenwich first. On November 8, vote for Peter Tesei for first selectman. His performance has earned our continued support.
