Stratford Mayor John Harkins: “I’m Endorsing Linda Because We Need To Focus On Improving Our Economy, And She’s The One Who Knows How To Fix It.”
West Hartford, Conn., August 2, 2010 – Linda McMahon for Senate 2010 today announced that Mayor John Harkins of Stratford has endorsed Republican Senate Nominee Linda McMahon.
“Times are tough and people are looking for answers,” said Stratford Mayor John Harkins. “Linda McMahon knows how to create jobs and foster a favorable business environment. I’m endorsing Linda because we need to focus on improving our economy, and she’s the one who knows how to fix it.”
Mayor Harkins was elected chief executive of the Town of Stratford in November 2009 after serving seven terms in the state House of Representatives.
Last Friday, Linda, along with Mayor Harkins, toured Bridgeport Fittings, a manufacturing business in Stratford that was started in the 1920s and has been family owned and operated from its inception.
