06/07/10 What's Up With You and Facebook?!

Hi, good morning!

I just went to check-up "the Roundup" on Facebook and found it's disappeared! What happened? Getting a little too close for comfort?

That's really too bad...I was actually going to post something on :GR" this morning; On Friday night I was sitting in a boat with a perfect view of the Byram Shore Boat Club and the trees beyond-there were a lot of people in the area; all of a sudden a huge tree fell behind the Club...no one hurt, thank God, but if it had been an few feet closer in any direction, people could've been killed; someone mentioned that "The Town: has been cutting trees in the area where it fell.
Anyway, good luck getting back on FB-I enjoyed your quests for the truth!

COMMENT:

There are some things that are nice to wake up to.

The smell of bacon, for example.

Ten days ago, however, I woke up to something a little less pleasant: an in box full of e-mails from Greenwich Roundup readers who could not find their favorite Facebook news page.

As i began to investigate this I discovered that baby face Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is so far in over his head that he doesn't even realize that he has a growing customer service crisis on his hands.

This is still a real problem for the social network, which has become so ingrained in culture and communication that for some people it's replaced the address book, the e-mail client, and the personal Web site.

Facebook should definitely be more careful with this if they want people to trust them with all of that personal data. This made me think a lot about how much precious “information” (memories) people trust Facebbok will keep available to them.

Bottom line, don't trust the money losing and poorly managed Facebook team with your pictures and other personal data.

Facebook deleted and disabled Greenwich Roundup's account for no reason!

Who cares, Anyway

Facebook is starting to become another internet historical footnote. just like Myspace.
