A little over a month before the first selectman's race is decided, Republican incumbent Peter Tesei and Democratic challenger Lin Lavery are clashing over a proposal to allow low- and middle-income seniors to put off paying their property taxes until after they die or sell their home.
Lavery, a selectman who came into office two years ago at the same time as Tesei, accused her opponent Monday of trying to railroad the plan through before the Nov. 3 municipal election to score points with elderly voters.
"I clearly feel this is political," Lavery said in an interview with Greenwich Time. "I feel you're trying to placate the seniors who were not happy that the (existing) elderly tax relief program was not fully funded...."

Hello, are you okay? It is now Oct. 2, and the last post I saw on Greenwich Roundup was for Sept. 28th, 2009. It is unusual to go so many days without a blog post.

Dear Anonymous and Deleated,
I am sorry for the delay in posting news. I moved the Greenweich Roundup computer from my home to an office in downtown Greenwich.
I have had trouble setting up the computer in its new location.
I am now on the internet, and will catch up soon, but I have been very busy at my church this week.
