05/23/10 Greenwich Resident Tom Foley wins Republican nod, but faces three-way primary

BREAKING NEWS:

Delegates changing votes Saturday at the Republican State Convention before the first ballot closed gave Thomas C. Foley the majority needed to gain his party’s endorsement to run for governor.

But two candidates said they will challenge him in a primary on Aug. 10: Lt. Gov. Michael Fedele, who had about 30.5 percent of the delegates’ votes at the end of the first ballot, and R. Nelson “Oz” Griebel, who garnered about 17.3 percent.
