Fall Field Hockey
The Department of Parks and Recreation announces that registration has begun for its Fall Field Hockey Program. The program is open to those in grades 3 through 8. Players will receive instruction and play games locally and out of town. Most of the instruction will take place at Pemberwick Park on Tuesday evenings 5:30pm – 6:30am for 3rd – 6th graders and 6:30pm – 7:30pm for 7th & 8th graders. Greenwich High School turf field #6 will also be used on Saturdays for practice and games. Some traveling is required and games may be played on Saturday mornings and afternoons.
The program starts Tuesday, September 15th and runs through November 7th . It does not meet on Saturday, September 19 Roshashana.
Emily Townsend Prince will be directing the program. She was a 3 time All American, 2 times Captain of the Princeton, 3 time All Ivy League Selection, member of the U-19 National Team. She is currently the USFHA Futures Coach and Site Director. Emily’s staff include former college players from Brown and Sacred Heart who also have youth coaching experience.
Mouth guards, eye guards, and shin guards are required. Field Hockey Sticks may be purchased at the field for $30.00.
