| Following more than two years of construction, the Byram Shubert Library, a branch of Greenwich Library, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy today and will officially open for business tomorrow, Saturday, March 28, at 9 a.m.
“We would like to thank the community for their patience with this project and invite everyone to visit the new library and check out some of the branch’s current and popular collection,” said Carol Mahoney, Greenwich Library director. “We are grateful to our town, state and federal governments for supporting this project. "It would not have been possible without the generosity of private donors and the enormous amount of time dedicated by community volunteers, Friends, trustees and staff,” she added........ .....The branch library collection features materials for children and adults, and expanded offerings for young adults. The young adult collection highlights the latest and most popular materials including graphic novels and critically acclaimed books. A new periodicals section will include more magazines and newspapers. A notice with specific details about an upcoming dedication ceremony will be distributed soon.
The hours of the Byram Shubert Library are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday noon to 8...

After months of delays, Byram Shubert Library was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy Friday and will open to the public at 9 a.m. today. ...
....."We're so excited," said branch manager Miguel Garcia-Colon, who gave a tour of the facility Wednesday.
The project, which began in September 2006, was scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2008. A temporary location was opened at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church for the duration of the project, but it closed in December in anticipation of the opening.....
