Maybe the Greenwich football team
is not quite dead yet?
The rumor earlier this week was that the Cardinals were down to its third quarterback, and ran the ball a ton in a Labor Day scrimmage against Masuk
But junior signal caller Mike Lefflbine, who was allegedly shelved for the season with a concussion, was brilliant in Greenwich’s 39-6 scrimmage win today over Brunswick....
....Greenwich started slow, as Brusnwick took an early 6-0 lead. But once the Cardinals got revved up, they were a hard bunch to stop. Lefflbine did a great job finding receivers Matt Grant and Demetrius Ferguson, and defensive back Justin ...
...Brunswick head coach Sean Brennan says his team has its work cut out for it, which is not good since they open against defending Fairchester champ Hopkins.
But that’s also the reason they are scrimmaging schools like Greenwich and New Canaan. It’s the old saying, you have to beat the best to be the best.
Brunswick did play the second half without star wide receiver Kevin Royal, who left the scimmage with an apparent leg injury. Royal has given a verbal commitment to University of Virginia.

Hey Blogguy,
Nice of you to connect to the FCIAC blog and report on the GHS team. Are you ready however to show a modicum of integrity and publicly admit the error you made reporting on the two current football captains being involved in the egg tossing incident? Not for nothing, but you named the two captains who were NOT involved. Oops. Hey, what's accuracy got to do with reporting, right? Isn't that why you lampoon others?
And, by the way, even if you named the two young men involved, they are all under 18; weren't you slamming people for releasing the police report on one of the minors involved in whiffle ball? Does your jouranlisitc integrity only stretch to the point of criticizing others but not applying to yourself? Do the rules apply to others but you have someone ascended to a level where you can ignore them? Nice job, slander two minors- two errors for the price of one.
Will be interesting to see if you post this. Anyone who thinks that calling people names is a form of jouranlistic wit probably lacks the maturity and integrity to stand up and admit his own errors.
And by the way, as a member of the RTM, you should know that the Building Committee controls the Ham Ave Project and not the BoE. Slamming the superintendent may be fun for you however are you doing out of ignorance or do facts that don't support your rants not matter?
But hey, as I said, why bother with h details when you can self-rightesouly cricize others for their faults. Admitting your own errors and faults; let's see if you pass the test.
