Police do not release the names of those 17 years old and younger because they are protected as juveniles or youthful offenders. The Post does not publish the names of those arrested in domestic violence incidents to protect the identities of the victims. The following are today's released arrest reports :
POSSESSION
John Diamontopulos, 18, of 502 Cognewaugh Road, Cos Cob, William Vernon, 18, of 32 Horseshoe Road, Cos Cob, and Joseph Scorese, 21, of 17 Fletcher Ave. were all charged with possession of a controlled substance after a drug arrest on March 17. Police had been doing surveillance of a location in town known for drug deals and reportedly saw the three men acting in a manner associated with drug sales and consumption. According to police, Diamontopulos got into a car with the other two, which police followed into Stamford, first to one parking lot, then another and then back to the first. Police said they then saw a hand-to-hand drug transaction and followed the car back into Greenwich, where it was involved in a one-car accident. Police found a bag of marijuana at the scene and said Diamontopulos was also in possession of some. He was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy to possess marijuana. Vernon, who was driving, and Scorese were also additionally charged with conspiracy to possess marijuana. All three were released on $500 cash bonds and were due in court March 24.
Mirna Acosta-Morales, 20, of Port Chester, N.Y., was arrested March 18 and charged with possession of marijuana under four ounces and risk of injury to a minor. Police on patrol saw a vehicle traveling north on the southbound off ramp for Interstate 95 at Exit 3 and pulled the car over. Once it was determined there was no need for medical assistance, Acosta-Morales was directed toward the Horseneck parking lot and interviewed. Police allegedly smelled marijuana and a clear cellophane bag with a green, leafy substance that later tested positive for marijuana, was reportedly found. Acosta-Morales had with her a 15-year-old passenger in the car. She was additionally cited for driving the wrong way and was released on a $250 cash bond. She is due in court March 25.
