"We are happy to verify our proposal to bring a public water line to our property and make it available to immediate neighbors," said Jon Sheer, chairman of the school's Board of Trustees.
The proposed water line is part of the master plan for the site at 257 Stanwich Road, which includes the construction of an Upper School campus for grades 7-12; construction of a new Intermediate House wing at the Lower School for grades 4-6; renovation of the current Primary House wing (grades K-3), currently shared with the Greenwich Reform Synagogue (GRS); and the construction of a new synagogue for GRS.
Stanwich has been working with Aquarion engineering staff since March 2006 when it first began developing plans for its own campus. Since that time, the school has reached an agreement with GRS to develop its properties cooperatively into a single, mixed-use campus.
