The Junior League of Greenwich Hosts “Keeping Kids Safe” at Armstrong Court

May 8, 2006, Greenwich, CT...The Done In a Day Committee of the Junior League of
Greenwich (JLG), is holding a new event entitled “Keeping Kids Safe” at Armstrong Court in Byram, on Saturday, May 20 from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM. The entire day is focused on safety and will provide interactive presentations, educational materials and entertainment for the children and the parents of Armstrong Court. Fairfield County Safe Kids and Silver Shield of the Greenwich Police will cover the following topics: 911 emergencies, choking, stranger safety, poison control, passenger safety and child identification. JLG committee members will use the outdoor courtyard at Armstrong Court and provide lunch for all attendees. Additional activities will include face-painting and safety trivia. We expect approximately 50-60 residents of Armstrong Court, (adults and children), to attend the event.


The Junior League of Greenwich is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained individuals.
