Pioneering equine sports medicine and surgery specialist Ben Martin has died in the US after a long illness at the age of 68. Dr Benson Bennett Martin, Jr., VMD, of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, died March 18. He spent all of his 34-year veterinary career at New Bolton Center, the large animal hospital of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine . Martin was born in Greenwich, Connecticut.
