Taracka was born July 22, 1928, to Joseph and Rose Taracka. After graduating from Greenwich High School in 1946, she began working as an assistant animator at Terry Tunes , the animation studio that produced the Mighty Mouse and Heckle and Jeckle cartoons, among many, many others.
