Sisterhood's Book Clubbook sellers sonnet

Sisterhood's monthly book club will continue with The Bookseller's Sonnets by Andi Rosenthal. Andi's book was chosen as a 2011 "Book of Note" by Jewish Book World and has been a "Conversations" selection by the Hadassah-Brandeis Institute. Copies of the book can be purchased on Amazon or any book retailer as softcover or ebook. Everyone in the congregation is invited to participate! Benefiting Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty

Please bring new, originally packaged, unwrapped toys to our collection bins located in the Temple Sholom lobby. All gifts will be donated to the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty.

The final day for our toy collection is at our Sholom Center Tree Lighting and Menorah Lighting on December 15th.

His lessons in romance are put to the test when his best pal's cousin returns from America all abuzz with notions of free love and rock 'n roll. A story about learning to live, love and spread joy despite life's hardships. Nominated for seven Israeli Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Actress. Directed by renowned filmmaker Avi Nesher.

Feed the body, soul and mind with our special Lunch 'n' Learn series, featuring our esteemed Rabbi's Panel. On three Tuesdays, coming up in the next few months, these three dynamic
spiritual leaders will discuss the topic
"Jewish Ethics/Jewish Leadership."

Join us for a special Chanukah edition of Young Children's Family Service (YCFS) with Reb Allison and special musical guest Sheldon Low. Kids should come in their pajamas! Come sing songs, celebrate Chanukah & Shabbat and enjoy home-made latkes.

We will also kick off our pajama donation drive to benefit The Pajama Program, an organization which collects pajamas and books for children in foster care and group homes. Please bring a NEW pair of pajamas and a new book with you to donate to these children, who may not have a pair of pajamas or a story to read at bedtime.

UJA Federation Annual Gala Honors Teen Philanthropists, Saturday, December 3rd at 7:00pm at the SUNY Purchase Performing Arts Center, Purchase, NY.
