MISA Open Records Policy FOIA Request
To: Town of Greenwich Clerk

From: Bill Effros
Subject: MISA Open Records Policy FOIA Request
Date: September 1, 2011
"Every person has the right to look at any public record during regular office hours simply by asking. They need not give their names or the reason for their interest. All public records of every division of the Town must be kept in its regular office or, for officials and commissions which have no regular office, in the Town Clerk's Office. They must be kept in an accessible place during regular business hours - for example, not in a locked drawer when the keys are not immediately available."
Pursuant to The Town of Greenwich Open Records Policy (attached) and in compliance with Connecticut's "Freedom of Information Act," I wish to see all MISA Building Committee records, including all records generated by all outside consultants, contractors, and testing laboratories; as well as the minutes of all MISA Building Committee meetings, the record of votes taken at those meetings, and the agenda sent to your office no less than 24 hours before the meetings took place.
According to the Town's own clearly written policy, since there are no pending legal actions with regard to the MISA Building Committee, correspondence with the Law Department, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Connecticut Department of Health, the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection, and all outside Town Attorneys are not privileged or exempt from this request.
Please advise immediately where I can see these records.
Respectfully,
Bill Effros
