PRESS RELEASE:

Pilates Classes at the

Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center

The Department of Parks and Recreation announces that registration has begun for our very popular Pilates Class that is offered at the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center on Monday, and Wednesdays from 12 noon to 1 pm starting September 27, 2010. The class will meet for 10 sessions and the cost is $100.00.

Pilates is an exercise option for everyone. It is designed to develop a strong core (stomach, back and glutes) while maintaining loose limber limbs. The exercises provide multiple variations to meet the needs of different body types. It strengthens the body while keeping all the joints mobile and flexible. While it’s not a cardiovascular exercise, you’ll feel your muscles working. Bring a mat, work out clothes, and water. This is a mixed-level class so all are welcome to attend.

The class will be taught by Lisa from Personal Euphoria. Lisa is a certified Nutritional Health Counselor and a Peak Certified Pilates instructor. She is certified by the AADP at Coumbia University and has been a group fitness instructor and lifestyle/weight management coach for over 10 years. Her style of teaching is to give a great workout through gentle guidance and direction.

Space is limited so register early. For more information or to register call the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center at 203-532-1259, or visit our website at www.greenwichct.org.
