		Independent poll has this race in a dead heat Dear friends, This race is tight. A poll released by the American Action Forum has our race in a statistical dead heat. Among likely voters, I trail Himes by only 4 points, which is within the margin of error. Among those certain to vote, we are tied at 45% to 45%. Full online access to the poll can be accessed here. Other highlights from the poll include: Only 40% of likely voters say that Himes deserves to be re-elected while 46% believe it is time to elect someone else. I am ahead among independent voters 47% to 38%. On the important issues like taxes and spending, voters believe that I will do a better job than Himes. The poll’s results indicate just how unhappy voters are with the direction of our nation. Americans have lost faith in Jim Himes and Washington’s failed policies and the more voters learn about Himes, the less likely they are to vote for him. To win, though, we need to continue spreading our message and with your help we can all make that happen.
