You can follow us on the road at http://istandwithdan.com ----------Forwarded Message----------- During the past year I’ve crisscrossed the state talking about the issues that face each of us and our families, issues like creating jobs, expanding access to health care, and lowering electricity costs that are overburdening Connecticut families. I've also shared my experiences as Mayor of Stamford for 14 years in helping to turn that city around, and I've laid out my plans to do the same for the rest of Connecticut. What's happened has been nothing short of phenomenal. The small conversations that began at kitchen tables and town halls have turned into a historic movement -- a movement built on our achievement of being the first gubernatorial campaign in Connecticut history to qualify for the Citizens' Election Program. This is the very definition of a grassroots campaign, and I thank you for being a part of it. Together, we’ve stood up against big-money special interests that have plagued politics... even when others have refused to stand with us. All of our hard work is paying off. This campaign has had to overcome tremendous adversity, including a self-funding primary opponent who until recently and only after enormous public pressure refused to participate in a real debate on the issues, and who has chosen to rely not on ideas, but on his family’s wealth and TV ads that are being called ‘the worst smear of the campaign so far.’ Despite all that, we’ve persevered. We’ve continued to make our case. And we’ve done it together, from the bottom up, one conversation at a time. Most importantly – we’ve done it together. But we aren’t there yet. Tomorrow, I’m asking you to take the most important step we have to take:
I’m asking you to vote, and to get your friends and family to vote as well. The 2010 Democratic Primary is TOMORROW; please remember to cast your vote. Every indication is that this election will be decided by only a handful of votes, so every single vote matters. For more Election Day information visit the Connecticut Voter Information website. I’m looking forward to celebrating victory with you tomorrow evening. Thank you so much for everything you’veu have done. Kind regards, Dan Malloy P.S. Please remember that the polls are open from 6:00AM until 8:00PM TOMORROW. Encourage your friends and family to vote, and vote Malloy!
