The Greenwich Time recently reported the following:
"The investigation has been hindered in many ways primarily by people intentionally misleading us or withholding information," said Zuccerella."
I for one cannot believe that after all this time that no-one has been brought to justice.
I don't think it was ex Port Chester police officer Bates, but someone from the neighborhood who was known to Matthew Margolies, and that is why people have supposedly mislead and withheld information.
This was a horrific murder, and took it's toll on the local community.
Many in this part of town say that it is the Greenwich Police Department that is "intentionally misleading us or withholding information."
One week after finding Matthew Margolies' body the Greenwich Police Department revealed that they had located Matthew Margolies' missing fishing pole.
By all reports Matthew was last seen in possession of that fishing rod the day he disappeared killed.
In a prepared statement then Greenwich Police Chief Thomas Keegan (the former lead detective who screwed up the Martha Moxley case back in 1975) said that the rod had been sold by Matthew to a "friend."
For 25 years, the Greenwich Police Department have refused to identify the "friend" who ended up with Matthew's fishing pole.
Why all the secrecy?
Who is the Greenwich Police Department protecting?
Maybe if the Greenwich Police Department would open up after 25 years and start telling the truth, then others in the neighborhood would feel safe enough to talk openly about suspicions they may have.
