05/08/09 News Release: Greenwich's ACGT Offers Glimpse Into Future Treatments for Cancer

Dear Greenwich Roundup – attached is a news release and photo from the recent ACGT educational seminar held at the Bruce Museum that focused on the Impact of Gene Therapy on Lymphoma, Leukemia and Prostate Cancer, as presented by renowned cancer scientist Dr. Michel Sadelain of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. We hope you can use this information and photo. The evening was a lively discussion of treatments for cancer that are on the frontier and many that are being instituted in clinical trials around the country. ACGT – the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy - founded by Greenwich residents Barbara and Edward Netter, is a wonderful national resource for helping people learn about the newest treatments for cancer and has been instrumental in raising funds to support cancer research with some of the leading institutions and scientists in the U.S.
