The Eight Conditions That Make a Difference in Student Aspirations.

My Voice Survey, consists of a short survey of students, staff and parents to determine the perceived school environment. Accompanying Resource Guides and Professional Development provide plans and activities to improve school environment and student aspirations.

(1) Provides meaningful data and valuable insights to educators for grades 3-12

(2) Reveals the connections and disconnections among educators, students and parents

(3) Helps educators improve relationships with students and parents

(4) Makes teaching more relevant and engaging

(5) Creates a renewed sense of purpose

(6) Raises student aspirations

(7) Improvement academic achievement, social awareness and positive contributions to school and community

(8) Research-based

Enrich: Supports course instruction by providing an engaging and optimal learning environment; motivates and inspires students to achieve; improves relationships with students, staff and parents.

Instruct: Meets individual learning needs by giving students a sense of belonging and accomplishment.

Inspire: Teaches beyond the classroom by inspiring students to be curious and creative, have a spirit of adventure, gain leadership and responsibility and having the confidence to take action.

My Voice Survey, developed by Dr. Russell from the Quaglia Institute for Student Aspirations, asks students to respond to a series of statements about their learning environment. The survey is based on the 8 Conditions that Make a Difference: Belonging, Heroes, Sense of Accomplishment, Fun & Excitement, Curiosity and Creativity, Spirit of Adventure, Leadership & Responsibility, and Confidence to Take Action.
