08/07/08 Lee Whitnum's first campaign ad is broadcast in Greenwich.

Lee Whitnum Goes Down Swinging At Himes

This has been a strange primary and it's almost as strange as how the Greenwich Time Online Opinion page has not been balanced.

In Whitnum's op-ed (which was for some reason NOT published online), she said that she felt she was getting a raw deal from the Town Democratic Committee.

Ms. Witnum said, "I did not garner any delegates at the convention because I did not attend the Democratic convention. Himes saw to it that I would be shut out from speaking; there was no point."

Is Whitnum Now Getting A Raw Deal From The Greenwich Time Editors?

The Greenwich Time Opinion has not appeared to be balanced at all....

Since Wednesday uly 3oth, The Greenwich Time has featured the same letter bashing Lee Whitnum from Democratic State Committee member and local attorney David Singer on it's

Letters From Readers Page

Please see:

Whitnum is to blame for lack of convention role
To the editor: In her "rebuttal" to Sarah Darer Littman's column July 22, petitioning candidate Lee Whitnum claimed that she was somehow shut out of the nominating convention to select the Democratic Party's candidate for Connecticut's 4th Congressional District ("Column was an unfair attack on 4th District campaign," Greenwich Time Opinion page, July 25).....

Has the Greenwich Time Editor's been republishing Ms. Singer's letter everyday, for the last nine days because they are endorsing Jim Himes,?

Please see:

In most primary elections, it's really the concerned party's business as to who it picks to represent it......

Or are the Greenwich Time editors repeatedly running Mr. Singer's letter for eight days in a vain attempt to kiss and make up with the local Democratic party for firing Sarah Littman

MOREOVER, THE GREENWICH TIMES REPORTING

HAS NOT BEEN VERY FAIR;

When Ms. Witnum qualified for the ballot Jim Himes ran his first ad the Greenwich Time and the Stamford Advocate ran multiple stories like this....

Himes' congressional TV ads debut

NORWALK - No need to double check your calendar - those political ads popping up on television don't mean it's time to put away the swimsuit, start packing school lunches and rake the leaves.

Many residents in Greenwich wonder if Ms. Witnum's ad is ignored and Mr. Himes ad is heavily promoted by the Greenwich Time, because Mr. Himes will most likely be buying a lot of Greenwich Time ad space, as well as, a lot of ad space in the Greenwich Time's corporately affiliated newspapers such as the....
  • Greenwich Citizen
  • The Stamford Advocate
  • The Norwalk Advocate
  • The Conneticut Post
  • And several other weekly newspapers
Is the Greenwich Time putting corporate

GREED ahead of fair reporting?

Has the Greenwich Time Editors made a financial decision about how the Democratic primary will be covered in the 4th District Of Connecticut?

Did the Greenwich Time Editor say something like......"Let's not piss Jim off and lose those ad dollars if Witnum is going to lose anyway."
