As ussual I am going home after working over night and as I am walking I have a patrol car go out of it's way to follow me as I get ready to go into my home the car drives a little pass my home and stops in the middle of the street.
For about 5 minutes cars had to go around the patrol car sitting in middle of the street.
I pretended to start talking on my cell phone and the patrol car started to move on.
This ignorant behavior by officers greatly upsets my wife who left the country of her birth, because it was ruled by a military dictatorship that created a police state that arrestted many of her friends who were artists.
In the last 24 months there have been close to 90 police misconduct complaints.
Thats a police misconduct complaint about every 8 or 9 days.
No other government department recieves as many formal written complaints.
Over and over the outcome is unfounded, unfounded, unfounded, unfounded, unfounded.
I wonder how many Greenwich families that complained were harrassed in the manner that my wife and I have been harrassed?
The citizens of Greenwich want the police to go after drugs, gangs, graffiti and muggers not critics that exercise their right to free speach.
