He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Mildred, his son John of Kansas, daughter Nancy Sutherland of Ohio and adopted son John of Greenwich as well as nine grandchildren: William Sutherland, Joyce Marvine, Amy Allshouse, Adam and Arielle Mandelson, Michael and David Abramowitz, and Hadley and Lucas Rosenberg as well as six great-grandchildren: Josh, Alex, Eli Marvine; and Noah and Grace Nemicolo; and Jacob Allshouse. He attended the Hotchkiss School, Rollins College, Cornell University and Columbia University.
