(GREENWICH, Conn. – The Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy (ACGT) is celebrating its tenth anniversary on Thursday, April 19, 2012, with a tribute dinner honoring co-founder Edward Netter (1932-2011). The evening appropriately titled New Frontiers will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich, Connecticut. Robert Bazell, chief science and health correspondent for NBC News, will be the keynote speaker. Edward Netter was the visionary, who together with his wife Barbara sought New Frontiers to ease and erase the ravages of cancer. The result of their years of dedication is the breakthrough science, such as the recent and promising study on leukemia that exceeded the ‘wildest expectations,’ and was made possible by the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy.
