Better pack that Diet Coke before heading to the Representative Town Meeting Monday night.
The final RTM session before the summer recess, scheduled for 8 p.m. at Central Middle School, is shaping up to be a marathon.
Twenty-three items are on the legislative body's agenda, headlined by a much-anticipated vote on the 2009 Plan of Conservation and Development, the document guiding changes to the overall town.
The RTM is also scheduled to deliberate on three labor contracts, a proposed crackdown on those who fail to register fire and burglar alarms with the town and new restrictions that make it illegal for registered sex offenders to loiter near schools, parks and playgrounds.
"It could be a long night, I tell you," said Joan Caldwell.....
