A Greenwich Author Who Owns A Health Food Store Is Once Again Asking The United States Supreme Court What Does “Natural Born Citizen” Mean.
Because the term is in the U.S. Constitution as a requirement for the office of President or Vice President of the United States - and because the Constitution does not define natural born - people have been arguing about the question for some time.
Because Barack Obama is the person headed to the White House, the arguments have kicked into high gear.
Obama’s mightily mixed heritage and exotic childhood homes were virtues to millions of Americans who voted for him. But they are at the heart of the tenacious He’s-Ineligible movement.Obama was born in a U.S. state, Hawaii - although a passel of conspiracy theorists don’t believe this, no matter what evidence they are offered.
Greenwich resident Cort Wrotnowski would block Obama from taking the keys to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., cite writings by several of the Constitution’s framers that reject dual citizenship out of hand - it was the 18th century, after all - and that focus only on the citizen status of a person’s father.
Wrotnowski v. Ybiewicz is to be considered Friday for a hearing by the court. Justice Antonin Scalia plucked it from a re-application pile of rejected requests and placed it on the court’s calendar the same day he and his colleagues refused - without dissent - to take up Donofrio v. Wells.
For those keeping score: Nina Wells and Susan Ybiewicz are secretaries of state for New Jersey and Connecticut, respectively. Leo Donofrio is a retired New Jersey attorney with a lot of time on his hands.
Cort Wrotnowski is a prodigious author and, according to a Connecticut NBC affiliate, a health-food store owner in Greenwich.
Lower courts tossed Wrotnowski’s lawsuit.....

THE WASHINGTON TIMES COVERAGE OF DONOFRIO AND WROTNOWSKI SCOTUS CASES
Tom Ramstack of The Washington Times has made consistent attempts to report accurately on the SCOTUS cases - Donofrio v. NJ Secretary of State and Wrotnowski v. Connecticut Secretary of State. Of all the main stream media coverage, Ramstack’s has been the most accurate.
But there are a couple of things I need to clarify about his last two reports from a purely legal standpoint. The issues involved in these cases are not easy to report accurately. Most of the reporters are not lawyers and if not a lawyer they are truly at a disadvantage and must really strive to lock down understanding of each key phrase as whole worlds of meaning change on even tiny discrepancies.

Leo Donofrio, who is working with Mr. Wrotnowski, is a Democrat and a Hillary Clinton supporter. The “right-wing conspiracy” lament is false.
Name calling isn’t really an effective method of countering Mr. Wrotnowski’s claims. It does indicate that perhaps Mr. Obama’s supporters that engage in such activity don’t really care about constitutional requirements. They must believe that majority opinion is all that matters. This can’t be good for the country.
Mr. Obama is does not meet the constitution’s “natural born citizen” requirement to be President of the United States. We can either uphold the constitution, or ignore it. It’s your choice.

Wrotnowski’s court case includes 3 individuals in it that are in question. Besides Obama, John McCain & one other lesser known person are also included. So this is NOT a Republican,right wing,nut job out in left field court case. If some of you would take the time to look at his argument in depth, read the U.S. Constitution, & “think” for a few minutes instead of reacting, you’ll see that his case makes a very valid point.

But seriously, our founding fathers wanted to make sure that the President and Vice President where held to a higher standard of citizenship that simply ‘citizen’. To be born ‘natural-born’ you must be born on US soil with two parents that are already US citizens. This was a national security issue when the Constitution was written, and still a big concern today.
“No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President;”
Why else would the framers of the Constitution have to grandfather themselves in with “or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution”?
The best thing for this country would be for BO to step down now before he does anymore damage.

You people need to wake up. Wrotnowski is right on the money with this. We DO have someone slipping into the White House who is NOT eligible per the Constitution.
I wrote to at least forty Secretary of States myself. All that replied said it was someone else’s job to check his creditals, not theirs. No one has. Believe me I am as shocked as you that are reading this are. Perplexed and shocked. Wake Up America. Our Constitituon is being trashed. Oh, and….did you know that in Hawaii in the 60’s you could register a child born in ANOTHER COUNTRY and that the state of Hawaii would keep that registration on file in their vault and hand you a Certification of Live Birth (COLB) saying you were born in Hawaii…as long as the parents lived in Hawaii the year previous to the birth of the child?
