The event will be held on Sun., June 27, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa, located at 243 Tresser Blvd.

Minimum bids for the one-, two- and three-bedroom homes available at auction start from $150,000 and are up to 62 percent below previous asking prices.

06/03/10 Foley for Governor Campaign Update

Foley for Governor Campaign Update
June 3, 2010

Convention On Saturday, May 22nd my campaign won the endorsement of the Connecticut Republican Party on the first ballot at the Republican Convention.

The victory signaled resounding support for new leadership and a new direction in Hartford. It would not have happened without broad support from across the state following my year on the campaign trail and the hard work of my campaign team.

With the convention behind us, we are preparing for a primary and then the general election. No one will work harder than I will to get elected and no one will work harder than I will to help other Republicans get elected.

Please stay closely involved with my campaign and the other primary races up and down the Republican Party. Your engagement will help us win in both August and November.

Best,

Tom

HR

Tom is now the endorsed Republican candidate for Governor!

A quick highlight from Tom's convention acceptence speech:

"I make you this pledge today. I will work as hard as I can to win and I will work as hard as I can to get other Republicans elected so we can take back our state, take back our ideals, our dreams, and restore the sound principles that made our state and our country so great. To achieve our vision for the future of Connecticut we need to elect more Republicans to the house, more Republicans to the Senate, and more Republicans to statewide office. Let's not miss this opportunity. It won't be here forever. Let's work together toward victory in November. The time is ours."

You can read Tom's full speech at TomFoley2010.com

Following his nomination, Tom released the following statement:

"I am honored to have earned the support of the Connecticut Republican Party. I am confident that my vision of a thriving Connecticut, with good jobs and growth opportunities, is shared with voters statewide and will lead to victory in November. I look forward to working with the other endorsed Republicans to increase our numbers in state government and achieve our shared vision for a brighter tomorrow."

06/01/10 First International Video Conference: Greeenwich High School / Hiroshima

Greenwich High School is conducting an international video conference
(via Skype) with a survivor of the Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Wednesday, June
2, Block 1 (7:30 AM) This is our first International video conference
and we are excited to have a compelling speaker, Yoshiko Kajimoto, a
survivor of the atomic bomb. Her profile is attached as a pdf. The
conference is part of the [
http://www.pcf.city.hiroshima.jp/images_e/poster/us09.html ]

"Hiroshima-Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Photo Poster Exhibition" in partnership
with the [
http://www.pcf.city.hiroshima.jp/ ]Hiroshima Peace Memorial
Museum.

100+ students (mostly Social Studies classes) will attend. The speaker
will be with us for 30-40 minutes (Japan is 13 hours ahead.) Since Skype
is two way, we will have the ability for students to directly ask
questions.

To establish background knowledge and interest, the Media Center has had a
display relating to Hiroshima and the Atomic Bomb throughout the month of
May. The museum provided us with 40 detailed posters, graphically showing
the physical and human effects on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as well as
detailed history of nuclear bombs. GHS selected 10 posters which have
been on display along with GHS materials.

This program is entirely the brainchild of Ian Tiedemann (GHS Social
Studies teacher) who connected with the Museum when he traveled to Japan
and Korea as part of the National Consortium For Teaching's About Asia
(NCTA) study tour. Ian applied for the program and has been the lead
contact for coordinating this event.

06/01/10 Victory Requires Your Help

E-Updates from the Dan Debicella for Congress CampaignJune 1, 2010
Debicella for Congress

Victory Requires Your Help

Friends,

The election is now five months away, and with your help we will bring common-sense back to Washington, DC. However, we are fighting a well-financed incumbent and I need your financial support to defeat him.

Thanks to many receiving this e-mail, we have raised $600,000 to date. However, we will need to raise another $1.4 million in the next five months to be competitive with Jim Himes. The only way Himes wins this election is if he is able to obscure his record of voting 95% with Nancy Pelosi by outspending us with a large media campaign.

Would you consider making a donation to the campaign? If you have already donated, would you consider making a second donation?

Any amount-- $100, $250, $500 -- makes a huge difference in reaching our goals. You can donate online or by personal check:

Believe me, I dislike asking folks for their hard-earned money. But your donations are the only way we are able to get our message of economic growth, small government, and individual liberty out to the voters in the next five months. Thank you in advance for even considering it.

All my best,
--Dan
