KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION AND REGISTRATION SCHEDULE

(Greenwich, CT- Tuesday, March 23, 2010)

The Greenwich Public Elementary Schools have announced plans to welcome incoming - Fall 2010, kindergarten children and their parents. The District’s Kindergarten Orientation for parents is Monday, March 29, 2010 and is held at each of the eleven elementary schools. The specific times for the parent orientation program and dates/times for registration are listed by school. In addition, each of the eleven elementary schools holds a student visitation session on the afternoon of Thursday, May 6, 2010, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM; students registered for the kindergarten class of 2010-11 are invited to visit their school on this day. All schools will mail invitations for Kindergarten Visitation Day to families that have registered and/or are otherwise known to the schools as having incoming Kindergarten students. Parents/Guardians that have a child entering kindergarten in the Fall of 2010 who do not receive a letter from the school in their attendance district should contact that school office for information on this process. Children that turn five (5) by December 31, 2010 are eligible for Kindergarten.

WEATHER BULLETIN
Up here in the Northern part of North Dakota we just recovered from a Historic event --- may I even say a "Weather Event" of "Biblical Proportions" --- with a historic blizzard of up to 25" inches of snow and winds to 50 MPH that broke trees in half, knocked down utility poles, stranded hundreds of motorists in lethal snow banks, closed ALL roads, isolated scores of communities and cut power to 10's of thousands.

FYI:

Obama did not come.

FEMA did nothing.

No one howled for the government.

No one blamed the government.

No one even uttered an expletive on TV.

Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton did not visit.

Our Mayor's did not blame Obama or anyone else.

Our Governor did not blame Obama or anyone else either.

CNN, ABC, CBS, FOX, or NBC did not visit - or even report on this category 5 snow storm.

Nobody demanded $2,000 debit cards.

No one asked for a FEMA Trailer House.

No one looted.

Nobody - I mean Nobody demanded the government do something.
Nobody expected the government to do anything either.

No Larry King, No Bill O'Rielly, No Oprah, No Chris Mathews and No Geraldo Rivera.
No Shaun Penn, No Barbara Striesand, No Brad Pitts, No Hollywood types to be found.

Nope, we just melted the snow for water.

Sent out caravans of SUV's to pluck people out of snow engulfed cars.

The truck drivers pulled people out of snow banks and didn't ask for a penny.

Local restaurants made food, and the police and fire departments delivered it to the snow bound families..

Families took in the stranded people - total strangers.

We fired up wood stoves, broke out coal oil lanterns or Coleman lanterns.
We put on an extra layers of clothes because up here it is "Work or Die".
We did not wait for some affirmative action government to get us out of a mess created by being immobilized by a welfare program that trades votes for 'sittin at home' checks.

Even though a Category 5 blizzard of this scale is not usual, we know it can happen and how to deal with it ourselves.

I hope this gets passed around Greenwich.

Maybe .....

SOME Greenwich people will get the message ......

The world does Not owe you a living.

03/23/10 Planning and Zoning Commission Approves Luca's Steakhouse Renovations In A Five To Zero Vote

Luca's Steakhouse located at 35 Church St., which is owned by father and son Luca and Danny Gabriele, won final site plan and special permit approval from the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Luca and Danny Gabriele will now be able to increase building's square footage from 11,110 square feet to 12,276 square feet.

....The steakhouse has been closed since last April as it undergoes a major renovation. The renovation plan and changes to a 2008 site plan angered some condominium residents who believed there would be no further changes.

In an e-mail to Greenwich Time Wednesday, Stewart Napoleon, who resides at 20 Church St., said they are considering their options but didn't say what they may do. Jane Hogeman, the lawyer who represented those residents, could not be reached for comment.....

Mr. McCumber and had been responsible for all of Ms. Buhl's stories being erased and censored from the Greenwich Time website.


The joke around town was that Mr. McCumber also had ordered the Greenwich Time art department to airbrush Ms. Buhl out of any Greenwich Time staff photograph that pictured him with her together.


The real joke is, "What Greenwich Time art department?"

The truth is that if David McCumber wanted to have Ms. Buhl's images air brushed out of photos, then he would have to call up the Connecticut Post Art Department,

That's right, everything is now done out of Bridgeport, from human resources to newspaper printing.

David McCumber's Stupid Mistake To Rest.

Greenwich Time Investigative Reporter Teri Buhl just got a copies of her online articles in a PDF, with a warning from the Hearst Newspaper online team, which is headed By Lincoln Millstien,


She was strongly warned that Hearst still owns the content and it she can’t republished the articles. Ms. Buhl is only allowed to use the PDF's to get a new job.


Greenwich residents are starting to see how pathetic and gutless Greenwich Time Editor David McCumber really is.

McCumbers lack of Journalistic ethics is only speeding

up the Greenwich Time’s inevitable demise.

Town insiders say the the Greenwich Time will most likely become a weekly supplement to the Hearst owned Connecticut Post.


Everyone now knows what happens if a Greenwich Time reporter tells the truth.


They can expect to be dismissed, mocked and fired like Teri Buhl.


Greenwich Time Editor David McCumber has refused to comment about his firing of Teri Buhl, but he can be reached at david.mccumber@scni.com.


Perhaps some of Ms. Buhl's fans should start sending letters to the Greenwich Post editor.


Greenwich Roundup thinks Teri Buhl should start an online Greenwich blog, like Chris Fountain did when the Greenwich Post fired him.


Maybe Ms. Bulh can report on the the secretive Hearst Corporation and she could also tell town residents about how the Greenwich Time is desperate and money hungry.



Even better Ms. Buhl could warn town residents not to give massive amounts of their personal information to the Hearst Corporation so that they can comment on Greenwich Time news articles.

03/23/10 Luca's Steakhouse is calling for the Planning and Zoning Commission to vote in favor of the restaurant's renovation plans.

There is a public hearing about Luca's Steakhouse tonight.

Luca's Steakhouse, Inc., at 35 Church St., which is owned by father and son Luca and Danny Gabriele, has an application to approve renovations that has angered some of its neighbors will be up for a vote at the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting tonight.

Other neighbors have backed Luca's final site plan and special permit to make changes to the previously approved site plan and special permit approved by the commission in 2008.

The proposal would see the building's square footage increase from 11,110 square feet to 12,276 square feet.
